The browser maker Netscape Decline So Yahoo CEO

Marc Andreessen, a leading venture capitalist stated, he had no interest in serving as Chief Executive Officer of Yahoo Inc.., One of the pioneers of Internet companies who are struggling to compete with Google and Facebook.

As is known, Yahoo's Carol Bartz dismissed, their CEO on the board of directors last September when they perform the rearrangement of the company's strategic move.

Andreesen Horowitz, venture capital firm established by Andreesen itself has been working with Microsoft and Silver Lake, a private equity firm in order to make an investment in Yahoo.

However, in his official statement, Andreessen has denied media reports stating that he or his partner, Jeff Jordan, plans to occupy the position as CEO at Yahoo as part of the investment agreement.

"To be clear, none from me or Jeff, or anyone from our partners at Andreessen Horowitz are getting ready or accept a role in both as CEO of Yahoo, acting CEO, chairman, or executive chairman," said Andreessen, as quoted by Reuters, December 10, 2011.

Andreessen, the creator of Mosaic, the first widely used browser in the 1990's, is one of the key figures in the tech industry. The man who also founded Netscape Communications Corporation, maker of the Netscape browser that became the forerunner of the Firefox browser has now become one of the board members on Facebook and Hewlett-Packard.
